Alex Otoka is a Deputy Class Underwriter working for a market-leading syndicate with eight years of combined insurance experience in a range of different areas.

In 2011, Alex graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in Economics. Unsure of what he wanted to do on leaving, he followed in his parents’ footsteps and went into the insurance market. His first job was for a Lloyd’s syndicate as an underwriting assistant in offshore energy, an area of insurance that had never previously crossed his mind. After 18 months, he moved to Chaucer where he has been for the last six years.

In his spare time, Alex is a keen golfer and unfortunately, an Arsenal season ticket holder.
