Bertie is an ACII chartered insurer working in the Upstream Energy Team at IGI UK, where he has been for 10 years. Bertie graduated from Newcastle University with a BA (Hons) degree in 2010 and went straight on to join IGI in the Marine Team, initially working as an Underwriting assistant to the Hull and Cargo teams. Over the next three years, Bertie went on to become the Assistant underwriter on the Hull book at IGI, working alongside the Class underwriter in a team of two in London. In 2014 Bertie moved into the Upstream Energy Team at IGI as an Assistant underwriter and in July 2016 was promoted to Underwriter, now supporting the Class underwriter in a team of two in London.
