Summary
Fabio Iacono is practice leader for Power Generation and Sustainable Energy for Zurich Global Specialties and manages the Power portfolio for Zurich’s London Wholesale office.
Activities include management of the line of business and P&L responsibility for the UK portfolio and driving market relationships within the Power generation segment. Next to that he supports the Zurich underwriting network through training, development of the Line of Business, and underwriting guidance to the field.
Experience
Fabio has 19 years of experience in the Insurance industry.
He started his career with Aon Risk services as a university graduate. After the graduate scheme Fabio moved on to claims for engineering lines clients in the renewable power industry. Fabio then joined the Engineering lines broking team where he managed client relations and placed insurance contracts on behalf of Aon’s Power industry clients in the Benelux.
Fabio joined AIG Benelux in 2011 where he managed a Benelux Energy portfolio. Portfolio management at the retail office in Rotterdam included P&L responsibility, and client/broker management for the segment.
Since joining Zurich in 2013, Fabio managed the Energy and related Engineering lines portfolio for Zurich in the Benelux mainly consisting of downstream and Power generation accounts and was involved in several internal and external projects to support Benelux/regional management’s underwriting strategy within the line of business.
Fabio transferred to Zurich’s London office in 2017 and as practice leader for Power generation he represents the line of Business in Global Specialties. His responsibilities include P&L responsibility for the London power portfolio, Power Generation guideline development and underwriting strategy, as well as providing guidance to our Power underwriting network globally.
