Hugh is an underwriter in the Special Risks division of Tokio Marine Kiln’s Marine Department. In addition to speciality marine business he writes trade credit and political risk insurance. The speciality marine business encompasses a broad spread, from Mortgagee’s Interest Insurance to the Special Risks division’s flagship product – Trade Disruption Insurance.

Working for the market leader in bespoke Trade Disruption Insurance, Hugh offers protection to ship owners, operators and customers against the loss of profit that isn’t covered elsewhere. This can include loss of profit and additional costs arising from marine perils, political perils, or closure of ports and waterways.

Before joining Tokio Marine Kiln Hugh spent time working in Parliament and as a management consultant for financial services firms.
