Kashe started his insurance career with AIG in 1993, underwriting a property, energy and mining book. He has worked for ERC Frankona and then Swiss Re (as of 2000), writing a similar portfolio. In 2002 he joined Swiss Re’s International OiI Insurers Team as a Downstream Energy underwriter, before moving into a Products related role for 1½ years.

In 2007, Kashe moved back to a more client facing role and was promoted to Head of Energy Offshore for Swiss Re’s Insurance business unit, Corporate Solutions. In 2017 Kashe assumed the role of Head Energy Wholesale in London, responsible for the wholesale Upstream, Downstream, Mining, Power & Utilities lines of business, managing a team of 21. In 2020 Kashe took on the role of Head Energy Onshore & Power Wholesale, before his current role as Head Upstream Energy. He is tasked with managing, growing and developing a profitable book.
Kashe has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with Management Science, and an MBA. He is currently a member of the Swiss Re International SE UK Branch Management Team, a member of the CorSo UK Leadership Team, is an elected member of the Joint Natural Resources Committee (previously the Joint Rig Committee), the Onshore Energy Business Panel and of the Joint Power Generation Committee. Kashe is also a Board member of the IUA (International Underwriters Association).
