Paul worked at Lloyd’s claims office for 21 years and when he left, was head of energy/energy liability. He moved to Watkins, which became Munich Re Syndicate as a senior energy/liability adjuster. Paul worked there for around 21 years. Whilst there, he handled energy/liability/engineering and a few other lines of business claims and was head of technical adjusting/complex claims including energy/liability claims when he left and joined ADA, which is an SPA at Lloyd’s, via Probitas as the managing agent, along with the entire energy UW team. Paul has chaired the LMA energy claims committee for over 15 years. He is on the following other LMA committees as non-chair: The Joint Rig Committee, the Complex Claims Committee, the Climate Change Committee and the Renewable Energy Committee. Paul has been on the organising committee for the Lillehammer Energy Conf for around ten years and has spoken at many conferences on energy and general claims handling, including Houston Mariners. He has been involved in some wording development over the years, including the new EED wording. Paul has handled many large and complex claims over his 42 years as a leader, including many hurricane losses/tlp losses/blowouts/construction claims, including a few that were in the billion dollar range. He has also handled numerous liability claims over the years.
