Rory has been with Allianz since 2021. He is a member of the UK Executive Management team and leads the UK Natural Resources Upstream and Offshore Wind portfolio. Rory began his insurance career in 2012 with AIG in Financial Lines. He subsequently moved to Argenta as an Offshore Energy Underwriter before returning to AIG as a Senior Underwriter in Natural Resources where he successfully developed leadership positions in Asia. Rory is passionate about the energy transition, particularly in the developing world having spent a lot of his childhood in Kenya. Natural Resources insurance has a vital role to play in enabling some of the poorest nations to raise living standards in a sustainable yet cost efficient way. Rory has over a decade of experience in Natural Resources, in both Lloyd’s and company markets which he feels brings a competitive advantage of applying a private capital entrepreneurial mindset within large publicly listed multinational companies. Rory is ACII qualified and studied Accounting and Finance (BSc) at Cardiff University. Away from work, Rory is a keen golfer, a member of the RAF club and enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
