Susan is a Client Director and CCS Lead, working within Aon’s Global Natural Resources practice with more than 35 years of experience in the insurance market. For the first 25 years or so, Susan was an underwriter, much of which was spent with AIG where she managed and led various divisions and practices, working with multivarious clients and geographies. Before joining Aon in 2019, Susan was the chief underwriting officer for Houston International Insurance Group.

Susan relocated in 2022 from Aon Houston to London where she remains a colleague in Global Natural Resources, but is expanding her role beyond traditional energy with a focus on carbon capture and storage.

In London she is focused on relationship management, ensuring that the entire suite of Aon talent, resources, tools, and products are made available to and appropriately employed in the best possible service of our clients’ needs across all disciplines. Her experience in multiple property, casualty, and specialty lines of business in the marine and energy segments, including offshore and onshore construction, has helped grow deep technical knowledge around coverage, wordings, and contract analysis, as well as insurance program design and strategy. In addition, she is a key member of the Energy Transition Group, leads CCUS product development, and is actively involved with various workstreams in the creation and development of new products and insurance solutions in the journey to Net Zero.
