Tom started his career in insurance on the Lloyd’s Claims Graduate Scheme, before moving to the Marine and Energy team at Hiscox and then subsequently to manage the Energy, Liability and Terrorism at Markel International. Tom sits on the Joint Energy Claims Group through which he has been actively involved in updating the Lillehammer Terms of Engagement and EED wordings, he also sits on the Innovation and Mentoring sub-committee. Tom is currently running the innovation project for Claims at Markel International, he is actively involved in the Future at Lloyd’s initiative and sits on the Faster Payments work stream.

Tom is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Insurers and holds a post-graduate diploma in Maritime Law.
